Welcome to WALL•E Forum Role Play Wiki!

WALL•E is a movie with many fans, and this is an assemblage of some of their work. The work on wiki is in progress. SPOILER WARNING: Many RPs are still ongoing, so there might be spoilers to events which have not yet been played (but planned) and characters listed who haven't appeared in game yet.

Everything WALL•E-related, not created by fans, belongs to Disney/Pixar!

Here's the FAQ for the newcomers:

What's the WALL-E Forum RP?

It's the WALL-E Forum's board where forum members are roleplaying in the world inspired by the movie WALL•E.

A role-playing game is a game in which the participants assume the roles of characters and collaboratively create stories. Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization, and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines. Within the rules, they may improvise freely; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the games.

What's the setting of this RP?

The setting is the world seen in the movie WALL•E, but highly extended. In general, it doesn't contradict the movie, and "if something isn't shown in the movie, it doesn't mean it never existed or happened". What? You haven't seen the movie? What are you doing here?? Go and see it immediately!.. then come back! The RP begins in the year 2825 - 20 years since the movie events. Current year (in the latest plotlines) is 2828.

Characters and Locations

What happened to the movie characters?

So, humans survived on Earth?

I don't want to survive, I want to live!

Captain B. McCrea

Indeed. It wasn't so easy, but they made it. After 20 years they lost a great part of their overweight, and the new generation doesn't have this issue at all. They formed the so-called "New Chicago Colony" ruled by the Council of Captains.

And Buy N Large still exists?

Nope. BnL is considered disbanded since 2487. White Enterprises is formed on its remains.

It takes place only on Earth?

Not always, they can take place on starships, other planets, and sometimes even whole other universes.

So there are many other spaceships?

Yes. It was shown in the movie that there was more than one Axiom-class ships. Besides them, there are military ships, science ships, auxiliary ships and so on. Some of them returned to Earth.

You said, different planets? Are there aliens??

Yes, the RPverse includes some aliens, like mantrins, draygons, etc. For further detail refer the Guide or the RPWiki.

Factions

And what's White Enterprises, then?

White Enterprises is a massive megacorporation, built from the remains of BnL. Greedy, corrupt and generally rotten to the core, White Enterprises controls a vast empire which covers a significant portion of the galaxy. White Enterprises considers anyone who does not live in space to be a "savage" not worthy of rights, and use this as a motive to enslave anyone who lives on a planet's surface. They believe robots to be simply machines, and will reset any robot which displays any semblance of a personality. The humans of the Earth Colony and robots of Blacklight Military are opposing White Enterprises.

Blacklight Military?

It's an army of robots, cyborgs, artificial intelligences and extraterrestrials, fighting against human oppression- as many humans consider any other races to be inferior. It started as the Autopilot of the BnL military flagship Blacklight became sentient and mutinied against his Captain. Once opposing the Earth Colony, now Blacklight Military has a fragile alliance with them.

It means, all robots are sentient now, not only WALL•E?

Mostly. WALL•E was one of the first to develop the personality, but not the only. On Earth, robots are considered equal to humans, while on White's spaceships they still are considered mere machines.

Joining

Alright, seem to get it. The main question - may I join???

Sure you can. But remember - most of RP threads here are following the "canon" described above. You are always free to create the "non-canonical" one, though, but mention it from the start, okay?

But I want to join the canonical one. What I have to do?

First - get the basics of the RPverse. Second - create your OC. And third - come on in!

What my OC should be?

They may belong to any of the RPs races and factions - could it be human, robot or mantrin, either of Earth, Blacklight or White Enterprises. But please have in mind the distinctive features - for example, a sentient robot would unlikely belong to White Enterprises, the same concerns a human and Blacklight Military, - and don't create "impossible" ones. Feel free to consult other players about this. Or, if you feel creatively, you can describe your own race and/or faction. But try to not contradict existing ones. By the way, you may use the robot design created by others. For example, Cri86 created a BRIDGET model, and your OC may be another BRIDGET unit.

But can I play WALL•E?

Unfortunately, in canonical RPs it's impossible. The movie characters are taken by existing players already - save for minor ones like Rogue Robots.

First Steps

There are lots of threads here, where should I start with my OC?

Of course, it's better to do in the latest ones - because if you appear earlier it must affect the following stories, but those stories are already written and thus unaffected by you, so... you get it. Refer to the Timeline to see which threads are old and which ones are latest. If you're not sure, ask other players in the Role Play Ideas, Plotline Request or OC Ideas threads.

I want to start my own RP!

Great! But first, please post its summary in the Role Play Ideas thread to discuss it with other players to prevent contradictions and misunderstandings.

Formatting Guidelines

What does the text in brackets mean? Or italic one?

It's a pattern for different type of speech. We have these ones:

Misc

What's the difference between "Serious" and "Just For Fun" boards?

Serious RPs are the one which follow the canon, while JFF ones are random and, literally, just for fun. They may refer to the canon, but are not following it exactly and may contain things inappropriate in the serious ones - like exploding the whole Axiom and then gathering it back from tiny pieces. You get it. Also, JFF roleplays are written not in the "story-like" style but like this:

Auto: *rotates around* "I love WALL-E Forum!"
BRIDGET: "After everything its members have done to you?"
